The T100 pick up truck is imported from and manufactured in Tokyo, Japan. The 2WD T100 is available in regular cab and extended cab models, and the 4WD is available in extended cabs only. New audio systems have been added for 1998. The SR5 models include a Premium ETR radio with a CD and the base models include an ETR radio with a cassette. This is the first year that a CD player is offered as a Factory Installed Option. Also new this year are the P235/75R15 mud and snow tires on the 2WD extra cab. Five new exterior colors have been added for this year. These new exterior colors include Radiant Red, Cool Steel Metallic, Stellar Blue Pearl and the two-tone paint combination of Stellar Blue Pearl and Cool Steel. Less

The 1996 T100 is available in five models -- 2WD Regular Cab, Xtracab and SR5 Xtracab; 4WD Xtracab and SR5 Xtracab. The 1996 T100 is virtually unchanged with only minor color or trim alterations. Safety features include drivers-side air bag, side impact door beams and five mph bumpers. All T100 cargo beds are built with double-wall construction to improve durability. Cup holders, map pockets and analog instrumentation are all standard interior features. Other features include styled steel wheels, halogen headlights and a full sized spare tire. Anti-lock brakes, air conditioning and cruise control are available as options. Also available are various package options such as the Value Package, Power Package and Convenience Package. Less

Cons: They aren't making them anymore!
The Bottom Line: My truck is comfortable.Easy to handle and maneuver. Visibility good and all controls within easy reach. Drive one when you can find one and see if it fits YOU!

Pros: Reliability, durability, just right interior size, respectable bed size, power.
Cons: Some minor things after 130k, towing is likely better with the domestic full size trucks.
The Bottom Line: Absolutely recommended. Perfect size - bigger than a dakota, but smaller than a full-size. No hesitations to drive it anywhere.
