Great door stop

Pros: Great HD when it works. Lots of channels. Customer service seems good so far.
Cons: Doesn't seem to work that often

Directv HD DVR Not a Tivo

Pros: Inexpensive, relatively speaking. Delivers excellent HD throughout the available range.
Cons: Blue panel lights won't dim. Does not have significant or intuitive on-screen menus.
