Cookin' in a Viper

by mkaresh , Sep 17, 2005
Pros: Brute power, huge grip, well-bolstered seats, unique character
Cons: HEAT, noise, not easy to drive quickly
The Bottom Line: Aside from the unusual amount of heat that makes it way from the engine to the driver, no big surprises here. If you think you want one, you want one.

Review: The Viper began as a cartoonish showcar inspired by the legendary 1960s Shelby Cobra. Bob Lutz, then at Chrysler, decided to actually produce the thing in a bold attempt to return some luster to the Dodge brand. While I personally doubt that having...

Grab life by the horns? I'd rather grab my money and run!

by shoplmart , Dec 13, 2007
Pros: Price, Aggressive styling.
Cons: Engine, Transmission, Gas Mileage, Interior materials.
The Bottom Line: The price is low, but so is the quality. In the Caliber's case, you truly get what you pay for.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.

by mkaresh , May 1, 2008
Pros: Power, price, lateral support, hatchback versatility, livable
Cons: Driving position, torque steer, cheap plain interior, seat comfort
The Bottom Line: Much more livable than I expected. But so is the MazdaSpeed3, which is in many ways a better car. For the same price.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Dodge has a glorious tradition of "quick and dirty" high-performance compacts extending from the Omni GLH of the 1980s through the Neon SRT4 of this decade. The latest offering drops a 285-horsepower 2.4-liter turbo four into the engine bay of the...
