DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!
Date of Review: May 4, 2008
The Bottom Line: don't buy one - too many drawbacks - very few pluses
I bought one in 2004 and rue the day I did. It is a piece of crap. I would sell it in a heartbeat if I thought I could get any appreciable amount of $ for it. I bought it because I wanted a machine that did not use a lot of water. Well it doesn't use much water, but it is SO not versatile - you can't wash one filthy dirty item by itself and fill up the machine with water like you can in an old-style center-agitator top-loader. Because of the "computer" aspect of it, you can't go back and add minutes to the wash cycle, run the spin time longer, or any of the fun things you can do with a "normal" old-fashioned machine. Plus if you don't keep the door open after you empty it, it will smell nasty in a very short time. It tangles clothes together in a big way. I do not notice a lessened amount of wear-and-tear on clothes as the salesman promised me. It has no lint filter. I am keeping it for awhile only because I feel I have to get my money's worth out of the damn thing. I hear that top loading center agitator machines are a thing of the past. If you have one that still works, keep it and keep getting it fixed till it is absolutely useless.
