Another quality product from Canon. While I won't say that the camera offers a big bang for the bucks, it is solid and reliable. If you're just looking for a standard point and shoot camera, this is a sure bet to give you what you want.
The camera is a 7.1 mega pixel camera, offers up to 3x optical zoom, 12x digital zoom. It's a 5.8-17.4mm lens. The LCD screen measures 2.5" across, and it can record movies at 30 frames per second. Digic comes equipped. It also has face detection - a very important function as most users enjoy taking portraits. The camera deploys the SD memory card (a 32 MB card comes by default, but you'll need to buy a bigger card) and you can connect it to the computer via usb cable. The camera is compatible with any kind of windows including vista, and mac.
I have had this camera for roughly 2 months and it has yet to disappoint me. It serves its function well. The biggest problem the previous model had was the problems with red eye - however, this model comes with red eye correction which takes care of the problem most of the time. It is also easy to use, so beginners will be able to buy this camera with no worries!
Overall, a consistent camera - you will not be disappointed dishing out your money for this product.
