Author's Review
As I searched for a new phone, the obvious choice would've been to pick up the Motorola RAZR for Tmobile, however, it wasn't an option for me at the time. So as I looked up phones, I came across the V360. Ive had past experience with the V300, and found that it was a pretty nice phone and didn't have that many flaws in it. So I decided to order the V360, and BOY was i surprised.
The V360 includes some very NOT standard features such as the MP3 Flash Music player. The phone uses TransFlash memory cards which look like mini Memory cards that are usually used for Digital Cameras. It comes with a 64MB card which is not that bad for it being part of the package. The music player works absolutely great. I was able to compress over 30 songs to 64 kbps and fit them all on the memory card. It works absolutely awesome, however, the volume isnt as loud as you would expect it to be, and the lack for a standard headphone slot takes away from the MP3 player. The only other flaws I could come up with was that with certain songs, the music player would freeze up and say that an error occurred and then it wouldn't let me play ANY of my music until I restarted the phone. The program also seems to get "confused" if you try switching a little bit too quick to a clear screen.
The phone also has a 1.3 Megapixel camera which is a HUGE step up from past camera phones I've had in the past. If taken at a close enough range, the phone will take some absolutely GREAT pictures. Details are asolutely stunning and the camera function works incredibly. Problems obviously arise when you start to distance yourself from what you are trying to take a picture of. The pictures obviously start to come out unclear and blurry. The other problem is that if you take pictures from a distance, when you try to upload them to the computer, the pictures ONLY come out as a thumbnail. Some of those flaws are a given however, it would be unjust to rate a camera with only 1.3 Megapixels as you would a camera with 4.
The phone also has great USB connectivity. It is relatively quick when transferring songs or pictures or to simply charge it. The USB connectivity allows you to charge your phone from an outlet OR your computer which is quite a nifty add on when youre working to transfer stuff to your phone and also need to charge your phone.
The V360 battery is AMAZING. The battery lasts about 2 days with moderate use. It is also, like I said before, really quick to charge up. The phone is simply a wonder and has some really easy to use standard features such as phonebook, text messaging, calendar, etc. The phone also has GREAT connectivity. It has really great reception and works wonders.
