How can a worm carry around a 20 Kilo Bazooka?

When I started playing the “Worms” series I felt as Worms is not only a wonderful series that started in the mid nineties, it didn’t just open the new genre of turn based like miniature killing, it started the name that in ten years time every household with a computer and a child knows well. Worms started off as a 2D (two dimensional) graphics game. And though since the first game and until this current more modern version the game itself hardly changed it is still an extraordinary success.
The extra weapons offered to you in the new version and the more comfortable graphics make it an even better game. Worms is a nice game to be played a human against the other, while it’s poor and very unsatisfying playing against the computer itself, watching the impossible hits. This is the game to play with a bunch of friends, with lots of thinking, accuracy and most important timing.


The Game play:

Worms World Party started off as an immediate success; with no real differences from its brother “Worms Armageddon” it was immediately well based. The game is a turn like game, where every turn you have the option to fight, chose your weapons, aim and shoot. You can of course move and mobilize across the screen, using teleports and ninja ropes. You’ve got a timer, and you must finish your turn which includes attacking, moving and aiming before the time is up. When you aim there are a few things that you must keep in mind, first the wind! While aiming a Bazooka or any other missile with the wind up against you the result may be catastrophically. You must take the gravitation into mind and most important chose the right weapons. From a very large verity you must chose the weapon with the best result in the current situation. Also you must be careful though not to fall the sea, your worms don’t know how to swim! The game goes on like that in rounds until there is only one team left.

Audio and graphics

Worms World Party has got very nice music; you have the option to set your worms tongue and accent. Hearing their battle cry in German is truly fun, as trying to sort out what they are saying in Chinese is very amusing. In a 10 scale I’d give the game a full ten. In the graphic view the game itself is also very good, a very simple view and unbelievably easy to control and manage.

Altogether the game is truly a good one, though not the kind for playing on hours for hours. I found it a very nice game for when you’ve got a couple of minutes free and someone’s over. The map changes every turn, forcing you to face different situations. This is a combination of thinking, accuracy and common sense, all wrapped up in one addictive game...
