Mixed Feelings on Whirlpool Side by Side

I had always wanted a side by side refrigerator.  So when I bought my mom's for $100 when I bought my home I was excited.  I liked the side by side for many reasons, but it had its cons as well.
The pros were that the refrigerator was very stylish.  I loved the fact that the water was always fresh and cold.  It promoted me to drink more water. 
The freezer had lots of storage as well and I did not have to dig to the way back to find something like you would with a normal refrigerator.  Plus there was tons of storage on the door to the refrigerator.  You could fit lots of 2 litter bottles of soda and milk on the door so the rest of the refrigerator did not fill up.
Now the cons.  The ice machine was very loud.  Plus after a few months the ice had a mineral buildup on it and it made the ice taste odd. 
For the amount I paid for this, i would say I got a deal.  But I would not have thought so if I had paid full price for it.   IF I would have paid full price, I would have been sadly shocked.  The side by side is nice if you get a good deal, but not if you have to pay lots for them.
