Author's Review

My husband and I actually were able to see this in the theater, and we both really enjoyed watching this film. This is one that the whole family can get into.

Plot
A couple of vacation walk into a bar and see a picture of the Lochness monster on the wall. They wonder if it's real, and one of the local people tells them that it's not. He asks if they want to know the real story. He tells a story of a little boy who finds a mysterious egg that hatches.

What I Liked
I love how the story keeps moving. There isn't a minute that you won't be involved in the plot. I also love it when the creature is small because it's so cute! I love to see it trying to waddle to escape a dog. There are some really cute and funny scenes in this that you definitely don't want to miss. I also love the absolutely adoration you can see between this character and the little boy who discovers it.

What I Didn't Like
I have to say that there is one part in this movie that made me cry, and I absolutely hate to cry when I see movies. I just don't like movies that make me cry. However, it turned out alright, and the crying didn't last for very long. Other than that I don't have anything negative to put in this section.

Details
The movie is going to be released on DVD April 8th. It's 112 minutes long and rated PG for some action/peril, mild language, and brief smoking. Because of the intensity of the film you might want to make sure this is going to be okay for your younger children. If your child gets scared easily, this might not be one that you'll want them to see. All teens should be fine with this movie though.

Acting
I personally don't recognize any of the actors or actreses in this film, but they all do a superb job with the roles. The young boy who finds the egg is played by Alex Etel, and he's pretty much the main character. As I said above I love seeing the love between him and the creature that he finds. He does a great job with this role.

Bottom Line
This is one movie that I think your whole family would enjoy. I definitely think that it's one that you'll want to purchase as I know it'll be great to watch over again several times.
