I would not recomend

I bought this phone about 8 months ago when I moved. From the start I had a lot of static on the line, not all the time but probably about 40% of my calls were distorted to the point where I couldn’t hear the person on the other end. I wasn’t sure if this was because of my phone company or the phone itself and to be honest I still don’t know, but I have read reviews from other users complaining of the same thing.

I like the features of the phone, my phone service includes voice mail so I didn’t need an answering machine and this worked well with the voicemail I had. I liked the selectable ring tones and the style of the phone was nice, I liked the way it felt when using it.

That’s really all the nice things I can say about this phone. Now to the bad and the reason I am replacing it. BATTERY LIFE. It sucks!!! There is no other way to put it. In the beginning it was fine, I could talk for an hour without even a low battery indicator (In the manual it says the phone can be used for 10 hours talk time and 100 hours standby – off the charger but without using it). But in just 8 months time the battery has deteriorated to the point where the phone is basically useless. If I left the phone on my coffee table for a few hours it would die without talking on it or touching it. Today I hadn’t talked on the phone for almost 24 hours. I checked to make sure that it was charged, and it was. 20 minutes into my phone call this morning, while waiting on hold, it died. This was the last straw. I checked online and I am not the only person who has had this problem. For the first few months I didn’t have any problem but now after 8 months the phone is worthless. I strongly urge you not to buy this phone which is a real shame because if this problem was resolved I would have certainly bought another one, but for now I will be looking for a non-Vtech phone. If you do decide to buy it don't say I didn't warn you.
