Not Fancy but takes alot of abuse

We purchased this phone set several years ago from Sams wholesale for around 39.99. Though this model lacks any real modern features it is able to withstand extensive abuse. We have dropped one of the phones in the bathtub, off a balcony and ran over the antenna with a car. IT STILL WORKS!. Though it may look cheap this phone can take abuse like non other we have ever had. My husband is very hard on things and for that reason I was initially afraid of this item. It didn't look as sturdy as other phones we have had in the past but I'm so happy I got it now. Both phones look brand new with the exception of a slightly flatter antenna on one of them from the car. We usually prefer Motorola brand landlines but we have been so impressed. For the money this item performs about standard on call quality and reception for a 2 year old phone. We have never had any real problems except it does perform like a 2.4 ghz in regards to distance from the base. If you are looking for a business phone or have a husband prone to destroy things please look at this item. It is truly durable and the large clear buttons are a plus. If only it could have a larger variety of ringers! Hope this helps!
