Pros:
Takes brainpower. Interesting environments. Made me want to be Lara. (I was once for Halloween)
Cons:
Difficult controls. I died hundreds of times learning trial and error!
The Bottom Line:
Great game but it is terribly time consuming and frustrating at times. You must be ready for a commitment!

In this fantastic game you play Lara Croft, daughter of Lord Henshingly Croft, who grows tired of her aristocratic life and seeks out Professor Van Croy, the great explorer, to find adventure. At the start of the game you start out playing Lara when she was a child which is something new to this series. You start out with almost no weapons and learn moves from your then teacher, Van Croy. Eventually you outdo your teacher and he becomes your nemesis. The game then goes back to the present where Lara mistakingly takes an ankh from a Tomb and releases an evil Egyptian god called Set. You must travel across Egypt to set things right.
I actually played this game before the others in the series and found the character almost ridiculously hard to control at first. You learn new moves in each game so even experienced players need to practice a bit. There is also a glitch in the game. You CANNOT shoot while crouching and using the lasersight. You are expected to do this at one point when you are in a room full of boxes with a machine gun that follows you. If you get too close it will shoot flames. Instead of shooting through a gap in the boxes, i crawl over to the gap, stand up to get shot once and sneak over to destroy the gun while it thinks i'm still preparing to shoot it. The strategy guide is even wrong!
