Author's Review
I was never really a big TR fan, but I figured what the heck, it has to be better than on the playstation, and in some minor ways, it is. The graphics are cleaner, and smoother, with a little small improvements here and there, nothing to get all goo-goo eyed about.
Fun: 2.5/5
This game would have been even more fun if the controls simply didn't suck. You have to use the analog, and the directional button to pull off moves....come on people, this is not how your supposed to design controls. I also thought the puzzles were to freaking hard, I got stuck half-way through the second level....that's just not supposed to happen. In fact, I had some of my friends, who are game gurus, try and beat that part.....they couldn't either.
Controls 1/5
I seriously thought they sucked! I say this namely because of having to use both the analog and directional button practically at the same time to pull off some of the more complicated moves. I mean, in the first level alone I spent 2 hours just trying to grab that stupid rope and make it to the other side..... and I only did so with luck! Then if you happen to be to close to a ledge and happen to forget to use the directional button, and instead push forward with the analog.....off the cliff you go, kiss that polygonal butt good-bye.
Graphics 2/5
With just minor improvements here and there....doesn't leave much to get excited about. The only real improvement comes in the way of frame rate, which isn't much of a noticeable difference.
Overall 2/5
I would avoid this game if possible, if you are a die-hard TR freak, then rent it, not buy it, especially if you own it for the Playstation.
