Pros:  Decent radio reception, clear phone, dual alarm

Cons:  display either too bright or too dark, alarm off is only temporary

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

Author's Review

I had a hard time finding a combination phone/alarm clock, and was pleased to come across the 29297. It had all the features I was looking for, including a dual alarm. Radio reception is very good, and the phone sounds fine. Biggest gripes are the display is either very bright (doubles as a night lite, and in a pinch, a reading light!) or on the dark setting it is too dark. The other issue is that when the alarm goes off, if you simply touch the "alarm off" button, it automatically resets for the next day. If you get up on Friday at 6:00 AM, plan on waking up on Saturday at the same time! The alternative is to get into the habit of turning off the alarm with the alarm set switch, which requires three taps of the button. Not a problem, expect each touch makes a beep, and it drives my wife crazy. I would buy another one, only because I haven't found a better one for the price.
