Child Excited to Read!!

My husband & I were looking for a magazine that our son, then 2, would enjoy with the hopes something would get him excited about reading. Then we heard that Thomas had magazine we were like this is it. We were right,our child began to love reading with this magazine.My son now 4 loves to read thanks to Thomas and friends magazine. Every issue has a read aloud story( about 2-3pp. long) which is prefect length for a bedtime story. There is a pull out poster that he can put on a bedroom wall. In the middle is a workbook section for children to practice writing, reading, letter recognition,& matching just to name a few skill building exercises. This section is perfect for trips in the car. Following the workbook section, comes a one page comic layout with Thomas & friends engaged in a short story. My family enjoys reading this magazine together.

I have only a couple of cons. First, the magazine only comes every other month. If it was upto us it would be at least a monthly magazine. Second, the price is a little high for so few issues. Not that I mind paying this much for a magazine just one with so few issues.

Now for the Bad news. Unfortunately, the magazine is no longer being published, Redan, the former publisher does not wish to help parents track down the new publisher or even let on whether a different publisher has picked it up.
