The Headless Horseman Rides Again

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow a remarkable book and now a remarkable movie. The storyline well written with a little twist here and there leaves you on the edge of your seat never wanting to miss a single moment. Ichabod Crane protrayed by Johnny Depp no longer a bumbling schoolteacher but now a aloof detective of some sorts solving all the mysterious deaths of local townspeople due to the rath of the headless horseman. The horseman in search of the perfect head to rest on his shoulders rides out of the death tree on his dark steed. In revenge of the soldier who legend says is how the horseman met his demise. During battle with swords clashing the horseman and the solider were in ferious battle with one quick swipe the horseman was no more. His soul in eternal damnation called upon everynight to ride up from the death tree to seek revenge. The Horseman is outwitted by Ichabod who in reality tries not to show it but is still the bumbling quesy feeling man he has always been. The movie adaptation will confuse you if you leave this movie is one of those can't leave your seat for anyhing or you will be lost. I for one from the beginning never wanted to leave my seat from the errie ghostly setting the dark grey skies and the pale figures of the townspeople took you to the town chased you thru the trees looking back to see if you were the next victim of the headless horseman.
