The Demon-Haunted World--Carl Sagan's masterpiece

Carl Sagan's mission in this book is to encourage skepticism and rational thinking and revive our interest in science--real science, not the pseudosciences of UFOlogists and faith healers and psychics. His examples and arguments are both compelling and entertaining, and Sagan's logic is impossible to argue with. He debunks a range of pseudoscience phenomena from alien abduction to crop circles to channeling and replaces them with the tools we need to to think rationally about the real world around us.

This is easily the best book I've ever read. Dr. Sagan's writing is clear and easy to understand. This book should be required reading.
