Good product for getting rid of in grown hairs
Date of Review: Apr 18, 2008
The Bottom Line: Good product. Does not eliminate the problem, but does significantly diminish in grown hairs.
I heard about this product called Tend Skin from a friend who has always had a terrible number of in grown hairs. His facial hair is super kinky, as is mine, and he pointed out that recently his in grown hair problem had gone away. The two of us had always complained and traded secret shaving techniques for dealing with the problem, so I was surprised to see that the problem has indeed disappeared for him.
I was intrigued and had to give it a try.
I bought a bottle of it from sephora.com, and had good results. Not perfect results, but definitively good results. When shaving with a straight razor the use of Tend Skin significantly diminished the amount of unsightly in grown hairs that I was getting. I do not shave every single day, not because my face does not generate enough hair, simply because I don't like doing it (lazy). I continued to apply tend skin when I was not shaving - at night and whenever I washed my face. This increased its effectiveness.
I do not live free of in grown hair, but this product definitively helped me deal with the problem. One complaint is the price. This thing is kind of expensive! Also it stings a little bit, but no that badly. It is definitively worth the pain and the price.
