Great Country-Pop Album by fearless, fun female!

I first noticed a little tune earlier this year that was catchy and fun and got stuck in my head. "Teardrops on My Guitar" by a then 16 yr old girl from Reading, PA by the name of Taylor Swift. Eventually I really gave it a good listen to and it tells a sweet story of a girl with an unrequited crush, in fact the object of her affection never even knew how she felt about him. We've probably all been there at one time or another, especially when we were that age.

What's particularly impressive is that Taylor Swift put it all down in words and music and released an album. And it's a good one. Almost every song is catchy and well written. I believe she's had five singles released from this album alone, and it's sometimes hard to get an album that releases more than one or even two songs as singles. Yet along popular singles.

The song "Tim McGraw" has gotten alot of attention and radio play (though honestly it's not one of my favorites) as have "Picture to Burn", "Should've Said No", "Our Song" and the aforementioned "Teardrops on My Guitar" - all critically acclaimed as well. Taylor Swift has truly emerged as a new country star and a media darling and has just released a second album as well, which is also getting very good reviews. This is her first album and it's still just so hard to believe a 16 yr old girl writing songs in her bedroom wrote something so darn good!
