Step Up

When the movie, Step Up, first hit the theaters, I thought it looked like your typical dance movie, the girl is in need of a dancer partner and the guy just happens to show up. I never did see it in the theaters because I didn’t want to spend the money and end up disappointed, but my sister and I received it as a gift for Christmas. Neither of us was too excited at first, but when we sat down and started watching it, I began to think that it wasn’t that bad of a movie after all. I ended up loving everything about the movie, the actors, the music, and the dancing.

The actors in the movie, Channing Tatum playing Tyler and Jenna Dewan playing Nora, did a wonderful job together. The actors playing the other characters did a great job supporting the leads and adding their own personalities to the movie. Everyone in the movie did an outstanding job.

The music was one of the best parts of the movie. I love hip-hop music, and when I heard that being mixed with more classical music, I was amazed at how well they sounded together. At times, I found myself dancing slightly to the music. It added great effects to the movie.

In the beginning of the movie, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the movie because of the ballet dancing, but then I saw the hip-hop dancing and that held my interest. I found it astounding how the choreographer managed to mix ballet and hip-hop dancing together in the same routine. The end performance was the best scene of the movie. It was very well performed.

I would definitely recommend the movie Step Up to anyone that loves anything dealing with dancing. It is a pretty good family movie, and it has a great plot.
