Simplest Portable MP3 Solution

Pros:  So many, I can't list them all!

Cons:  Couldn't think of one!

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

This is by no doubt the simplest portable MP3 solution. Its just a great product! The convenient and simple mp3 files are easily uploaded to the Rio through the printer port. Also, the Rio comes with an adapter so you can connect both your Rio and your printer and use them at the same time! The good looks and simple interface also make this a great product. The display show the Track #, the track time, volume and the compression rate of the current MP3. The Rio has a 32MB flash card built into it, which can store nearly an hour with the compression rate of 64kbps. That's not bad at all. If you want more than an hour, you can buy additional flash cards to suit your needs. There are 5 buttons on the front, Volume(both + and - buttons), Random, Repeat, and A-B. The Volume buttons increase and decrease the volume. The random button randomly chooses a song. The repeat button repeats the one song if pressed once, and all the tracks if pressed twice. The A-B button plays a section of one track from point A to B(You can choose point A and B). The Rio only uses one AA batter which lasts pretty long. There is also a "hold" switch. This switch prevents the accidental push of any of the buttons. For example, if you put your Rio in your pocket, and the play button is accidently pushed, the Rio will keep playing and wasting its battery, but with the Hold switch on, the button will not be pressed.
