Cons:
Poor Standard Definition Picture Quality, Poor Sound
The Bottom Line:
I'd go for it. I looked over a bunch of panels and this one was better by far.

I picked the tele up from Costco four months ago and have not regretted it. On the good side of things, it has excellent picture on my dish at 1080i. If I am lucky, santa will deliver a PS3 so I can see if there really is a difference to 1080P.
On the not-so-hot side of things:
If you are placing this TV high you want to get a mount and not rely on the base. This is over a gas fireplace in my case and could use to be tilted down slightly. The base doesn't allow for this at all.
My second issue is with the picture on standard definition. I have other high-def sets and this one is fussy to where it looks worse than it should. I guess it likes a clean signal.
Another issue is sound. Yes, I know most people who drop $$ on a tele like this will have surround in place and such but I am still retrofitting a new home so I am running on the tele speakers. In a few words, they are junk. I didn't expect them to be much given the panel depth, but they are less than I would have expected.
The final gripe is the cabinet. Not the easiest to keep clean to where fingerprints can be a bother.
