The Bottom Line: A bit pricey, but well-worth it for commuters and travelers.

Pros: Blocks out background noise, good battery life (~40 hours)
Cons: Not as portable or as "carefree" as standard headphones.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for headphones that will make your flights more pleasant, these offer the best bang for the buck in their category.

Review: Introduction
Noise cancellation headphones are the type of item that you don't buy unless someone's told you about them or if you've heard them in action. If you're going to use these at the gym or in an environment where you need... |

Pros: Hear yourself think, hear your music and sleep on a plane.
Cons: Can become uncomfortable after 10 hours on a plane
The Bottom Line: Extremely impressive for the money and very comfortable for most people. I would definitely buy again, but would appreciate a nice full enclosed ear design for long term comfort.

Review: Summary:
I travel a lot domestically in the US, with most flights under 3 hours. So I did not think I really needed some noise cancelling headphones. But when I found out I would be travelling internationally for about a month continously,... |

Pros: Lightweight, foldable, smaller that the Bose, work quite well...
Cons: Not the miracle gadget, big(ish) battery pack
The Bottom Line: For noise-cancelling 'phones, these are probably as good as you'll get in this price range, but don't expect miracles.

Review: I spent yonks reading all the reviews of the various option available for noise-cancelling headphones, and came to the conclusion that none of the reviews were conclusive. Here's a summary to save you the time - The Bose 'phones are great, the best,...

Cons: none really other than price
The Bottom Line: These are a good buy because they are great sound and the noise cancellation is as good as it could get other than the bose

Pros: amazing noise-cancellation good sound
Cons: complex folding operation no batteries included
The Bottom Line: All in all a very good purchase and I would recommend them to any iPod commuter out there. Their drawbacks can be overlooked in view of their portability.

Review: I must say that I'm a big fan on sennheiser: those are actually my 4th pair. I've got some wireless a very cheap vintage pair and a pretty good 490.

Pros: Comfort, lightness, acceptable sound (with battery), moderate price
Cons: Poor sound without power, clunky battery and cabling, "ear pressure"
The Bottom Line: Personally, I'd spend some more money and get the Panasonic RP-HC300, of which I am a big fan.

Pros: compact size is very portable, nice travel case, noticeable reduction of noise
Cons: battery pack location, noise reduction is not thorough
The Bottom Line: Cuts about 50% of white noise. Your needs will determine if this product's features are a good combination or a bad compromise.
