Pros: works VERY well at knocking out outside noise, good bass response too
Cons: none really other than the cables can get caught up on things
The Bottom Line: A bit pricey, but well-worth it for commuters and travelers.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Have you ever been really annoyed by outside noise while listening to music or radio with your headphones? Noise canceling headphones are the blissful answer.

The way noise canceling headphones work is quite simple. Imagine the sound that...

Pros: Noise Cancellation, Good Sound Quality, Comfortable, Foldable, Nice Bag, Airline Adapter
Cons: Noise Cancellation Device Quite Big, Sound Quality So-so with Noise Cancellation Off
The Bottom Line: A very good noise cancellation headphone. A must for travelers. A cheap way to solve noise issue at work place.

Review: What is Noise Cancellation
Noise cancellation usually implies active noise reduction (ANR), although sometimes the passive ways to reduce noise can also be called by this name. Passive noise reduction uses sound absorbing material to...

If you do a lot of air travel, these are a Godsend

by  abolinger ,  Aug 11, 2003
19 out of 19 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Blocks out background noise, good battery life (~40 hours)
Cons: Not as portable or as "carefree" as standard headphones.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking for headphones that will make your flights more pleasant, these offer the best bang for the buck in their category.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Introduction

Noise cancellation headphones are the type of item that you don't buy unless someone's told you about them or if you've heard them in action. If you're going to use these at the gym or in an environment where you need...

Best bang for the buck

by  vrathore ,  Jul 13, 2004
19 out of 19 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Hear yourself think, hear your music and sleep on a plane.
Cons: Can become uncomfortable after 10 hours on a plane
The Bottom Line: Extremely impressive for the money and very comfortable for most people. I would definitely buy again, but would appreciate a nice full enclosed ear design for long term comfort.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Summary:

I travel a lot domestically in the US, with most flights under 3 hours. So I did not think I really needed some noise cancelling headphones. But when I found out I would be travelling internationally for about a month continously,...

Good for the price (I think!?)

by  pwhite8314 ,  Mar 2, 2004
18 out of 18 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Lightweight, foldable, smaller that the Bose, work quite well...
Cons: Not the miracle gadget, big(ish) battery pack
The Bottom Line: For noise-cancelling 'phones, these are probably as good as you'll get in this price range, but don't expect miracles.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I spent yonks reading all the reviews of the various option available for noise-cancelling headphones, and came to the conclusion that none of the reviews were conclusive. Here's a summary to save you the time - The Bose 'phones are great, the best,...

Pros: great sound great noise cancelling
Cons: none really other than price
The Bottom Line: These are a good buy because they are great sound and the noise cancellation is as good as it could get other than the bose
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: The first question is - Are noise cancelling headphones worthwhile and the second must be - are these particular ones any good?
On the subject on noise cancelling I have the following to say - I get on the London Tube every day. The Tube must...

Good little cans

by  jfpilon ,  Jul 15, 2005
9 out of 9 people found this review helpful.
Pros: amazing noise-cancellation good sound
Cons: complex folding operation no batteries included
The Bottom Line: All in all a very good purchase and I would recommend them to any iPod commuter out there. Their drawbacks can be overlooked in view of their portability.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: I must say that I'm a big fan on sennheiser: those are actually my 4th pair. I've got some wireless a very cheap vintage pair and a pretty good 490.

I just bought those, and it's the first time I had such a good feeling right after buying...

Not as good as other options - but decent for the price

by  pablo_lie ,  Mar 2, 2006
9 out of 9 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Comfort, lightness, acceptable sound (with battery), moderate price
Cons: Poor sound without power, clunky battery and cabling, "ear pressure"
The Bottom Line: Personally, I'd spend some more money and get the Panasonic RP-HC300, of which I am a big fan.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: You may have checked out my profile, and may wonder why I seem to have a fixation on noise canceling (let s switch to reducing right away) headphones. Two words: business travel. Noise reduction makes air travel far more relaxing. A lot of the...

Review: I just tried these headphones today for about 2 hours, and although I read the reviews on the newegg.com site where they were given a 5/5 as well as a friend of mine recommending them...

I'll like to say that I was very disapointed. The...

Quiet Trade Offs

by  matthewm0 ,  May 13, 2005
9 out of 9 people found this review helpful.
Pros: compact size is very portable, nice travel case, noticeable reduction of noise
Cons: battery pack location, noise reduction is not thorough
The Bottom Line: Cuts about 50% of white noise. Your needs will determine if this product's features are a good combination or a bad compromise.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: When turned on but not plugged into an audio source, the Sennheiser headphones reduce white noise, such as jet engines and road noise, by about half (best estimate). It is enough to provide some relief but it does not reduce sounds like talking or...
