A few years ago a friend introduced me to this brand of tequila. three generations tequila. it was one of the best margaritas i have ever had.
not very many restaurants carry this brand. It is on the exspensive side, but it's worth it.
and i found out the hard way that the cheaper the tequila, the sicker you are. But by far three generations is not cheap and you don't suffer the long term affects.mexican food goes well with this tequila. i think any occasion is good for drinking this tequila. if your going to drink it straight it's good on the rocks and/or sipping. as for shots, i wouldn't, but it's your prefrence.
