Samsung ML-2010 Laser Printer

Samsung ML-2010 may be 5 pages/minute faster than the ML-1740 but other than that, I feel the older model Samsung ML-1740 is better than the newer model ML-2010 because:

1. ML-1740 has larger paper capacity. Holds 250 sheets vs. 150 sheets.

2. Cartridge yield. Having used both printers with a MICR toner cartridge from checksnet, ML-1740 prints more checks, thus it either holds more toner or uses less toner than the ML-2010.

3. Paper jams. I use lasers to print UPS shipping labels. The heavier label paper has never jammed the ML-1740 but has jammed in the ML-2010.
