Is This Movie Confusing? You Betcha!

=Plot=
Barry Egan is totally not in control of his life. He can't seem to make sense of anything and is always confused and hates the fact that he has to get out of bed some mornings. Seemingly suicidal, Barry is over run by his seven older sisters who try to run his life and make him feel more horrible than he normally does. Barry runs a little business and even though he is the boss at work he still doesn't feel as if he has control over anything. One day a woman named Lena comes into his business and he falls for her hard. After working up the courage he didn't think he had, he asks her out the next day. She agrees. He gets horny that night when he's home alone and calls a sex number and the next day when he tries to use his credit card, it's declined for insufficient funds. Barry calls the sex number back and the woman on the other end blackmails him telling him she's planning on taking all of his money and there's nothing he can do about it. Will Barry be able to save himself before he goes crazy and totally self destructs? Will he be able to let himself love Lena?

=Actors/Actresses=
Adam Sandler does an unbelievable job as Barry. I mean, I didn't think he had it in him to do such a serious movie, but I really enjoyed his performance in this movie. He made me feel sorry for him and made me wish he'd just cheer up and get out of his funk at the same time. I loved his acting in this movie. There's also Emily Watson as Lena and she is equally amazing. I mean, her chemistry with Adam on screen is so intense and lovely that I was rooting the whole time for her to cheer him up and just kiss him! I loved the both of them and I think they were perfect for the roles they played.

=My Opinion=
My brother and I wanted to see this for the simple fact that Adam Sandler was in it. How do you think I felt when I went home and put it into the DVD player and saw nothing funny whatsoever? I was a little mad, yeah, but I got over it and really got into the movie when I realized how good it was. I loved it! Although it was a little confusing at times (okay, so it was VERY confusing), I still loved it. I didn't know Adam Sandler could display such raw emotion and make me feel bad for him and make me think about life all at the same time. I haven't seen him act in a serious movie this good since 'Reign Over Me'. I really enjoyed this film and it is one I would recommend to anyone.
