popcorn anyone?!

I can't even remember when I got this popcorn maker, I think it was sometime when I was a teenager and on a diet for the first time. Someone had told me air-popped popcorn was a great low calorie treat and you could eat a lot of it.

I recently found this popcorn maker when I was going through boxes and popcorn sounded good. I set it up, figuring it probably wouldn't even work after being packed away for close to 10 years, but after washing the top of it and wiping the dust out of the inside, it was as good as new.

This popcorn maker is very easy to use, you put as much popcorn as you want inside of it (I use 1/4 cup and it makes about 6 cups)replace the cover and plug it in. The only ways of turning it on and off is plugging it in and unplugging it.

A batch of popcorn takes less than 5 minutes, the popcorn maker is a bit loud, once its just about done, carefully unplug it, so it doesn't spark and wait at least 1 minute for remaining kernels to pop. If you don't wait, the last few kernels will end up all over your counter.

One thing I noticed is that the top of this popcorn maker gets very hot, so use caution when taking it off, I usually wait until I'm finished eating my popcorn to clean up because by then its nice and cool.

Cleanup is easy, once the popcorn maker cools down, dump any unpopped kernels in the trash and wipe out with a damp sponge, then dry with paper towel. Replace cover and put away.

This popcorn maker will last you awhile, as I said earlier, it sat in a box for close to 10 years and still worked. I used it a lot as a teenager and use it a lot now. Its very durable and unbreakable as well. I've dropped it a few times and it still works! Its very easy to clean and store as well.

I'd recommend this popcorn maker for anyone who is looking for a low calorie snack, or just loves popcorn. It is cheaper than buying the microwave popcorn and less calories and fat as well.
