surprised

Well here I am buying a big screen. Purchased it and brought it home. I hooked it up using a digital cable box, using a high quality s-video cable. Also hooked up a DVD player using a high quality component (Y-Pb-Pr)cable. I really wish this TV had more than one HDTV inputs.
All I can say is WOW. The picture quality is remarkable. I have the settings set at auto (for 4:3, 16:9, panoramic and so on).
The picture is very clean. The options for smart audio and smart video is helpful. There are lots of options in the menu for someone like myself that likes to tinker around, yet if things in there are too complicated you don't really need to touch anything from the time you open the box.
I set the audio on surround sound and set it for Theatre mode.
Last night when i watched a DVD, I thought there was extra speakers behind me. The surround sound was great, and lots of base. Not like a small tube TV.
In my opinion, this is one Heck of a great deal. I compared the price to other similar sets and nothing compared.
Too bad they didn't included some cables...perhaps at least a s-video.
