Good, solid oven. Not perfect.

We replaced our KitchenAid when the knobs started snapping. We use our toaster oven heavily as we do not own a microwave.

What this does well:
1. Space - it makes very efficient use of space. It takes up less real-estate on the counter than many other brands which the same capacity.
2. Quick heat-up. It seems to take about 30% less time to get the same result than we were used to. Get used to that before you make assumptions about cooking time.
3. Solid Construction. The crumb-tray is sufficient to ensure there won't be "strays" under the tray like older models used to have. The knobs are a heavier construction than the Kitchenaid. This may not seem like a big deal, but when cheap plastic knobs split - you're stuck. Think about it - what's the one part that sees the most wear and tear? The knobs. And they don't sell replacement parts.
4. Convenience - I prefer the toaster ovens that have the hook on the door that pulls the rack out slightly when you open the door - makes it easier to reach hot items.

What it could do better.
1. The rack needs a lip along the back. Toast slides right off the back and falls onto the burners. While I like the hooks that pull the rack out slightly, they're counter productive when it leaves a gap in the back for items to fall through.
2. Cheap broiling tray. This is a rather soft, flimsy aluminium tray. It's going to be a nightmare to keep clean. I foresee a lot of warping.
