the opposite of ricci

Christina Ricci is no longer the little girl who entertained us in movies like Casper, or Now and then.
Instead she takes on a role that throws her straight into womanhood in a most wonderfully twisted way.The Opposite of Sex, is one of those movies that I so often consider to be a 2 timer. It takes two times or more of watching it to appreciate it.
The first time is to dispell any notions that you may have had about the movie, the second to see it for what it is. To be honest with you I had no idea what this movie was about. All that I really knew was that Christina Ricci was in it, and it had to do with sex. Hornball little me decided I had to see it. Its not exactly as I expected (remember see it 2x's or more).
However, it was pretty fast paced which got my interest, and was not too tedious which held my interest. (this IS a good thing). Johnny Galecki is also on my top 1000 famous people list. Big surprise for you, he plays a flamingly gay guy who can be a decietful little twit when he doesnt get his way, and attempts to blackmail "Bill" (a teacher who is openly gay, and ricci's brother in the movie), by saying he molested him.
Lisa Kudrow, portrays Bill's ex-sister inlaw (Lucia), and actually has some intelligence. She really is more talented then I ever thought, (I just don't like most of the roles she plays...Romey and Michelle ring a bell??)
The rest of the cast who I am too lame to speak about individually, was pretty good. The best, acting wise, in my opinion was the actor who played Bill, also Ricci's lover in the script. (If you're confused just go rent the movie already!!)
I don't think this is one of those movies that deserves an academy award or anything so don't get me wrong. But it is one of those movies that I will eventually own. It has all of the makings of a classic in my eyes... A beautiful girl who is hostile and or psychotic, who rules throughout the entire movie and destroys the lives of atleast 3/4 of everyone else involved throughout the course of the plot.
Well, now that you know my opinion I hope that you will go rent it so you can decide for yourself. If you don't like it I will not refund your $3.50 or whatever you paid to rent it... If you do then feel free to email me your reviews or post a comment below.
Ricci gets an A+ the rest of the movie gets a B... B movies are always the best anyway ; )
