This camera does fit the bill for an inexpensive, easy to use digital camera, although it also eats batteries. My problem was when the LCD screen needed repair, Olympus would not honor the warranty. They claimed the camera had been dropped, which was NOT the case. The LCD screen worked fine, I took a picture, the screen went to the picture I took and then started malfunctioning. I sat right there and watched it! Olympus treated me like a liar and a thief and then simply refused to speak to me at all. Everything else on the camera still works fine, but it's not much use if you can't tell what you're taking pictures of! And there's no viewfinder, so I'm stuck. The camera did not even last a year with minimal use! My recommendation: Stay away from Olympus, their customer service is horrible!
