Cute game for kids

This game can be very addicting and entertaining to those who love virtual pets and puppies. To others, it may be tedious or even reluctant work. The game runs on your DS's internal clock, so the player is required to care for their dog everyday, or else they go hungry and become flea-ridden. Don't worry, the pets can't die.

Luckily, kids love taking care of animals like this, and the repetitive activities do have incentives and goals for the players. The puppies can be trained to compete in disc-throwing, agility, and obedience competitions, the last of which is by far the most challenging and entertaining. The game makes use of the DS's built in microphone by having players train their dogs to perform tricks, which will be attached to whatever word they teach the dog to associate with that trick. This is very useful most of all for teaching my dog to do a back-flip when I shout "banana!".

The game also has wireless capability for meeting other players and their dogs, but only if they are within a certain distance. This may have been useful within the first week the game came out, as it is with almost all of Nintendo's games that require other gamers to be within eyesight for interaction to occur.
