Great Camera

Date of Review: Apr 6, 2005

After searching and thinking long and hard about which digital camera to go with I finally decided on the D70. I was considering the Canon Digital Rebel because of good experiences with Canon point and shot digital cameras and their electronics but I already had a Nikon Film SLR system.
Here's the bottom line to the question you all might be asking yourself. If you have Nikon lenses, go with the D70. It is an incredibly versatile, flexible and powerful photographic tool and has far more options than your film camera and possibly more than you will able to familiarize yourself with. The manual is long and somewhat thorough. I plan on getting another book as soon as I find one that I feel is good to use. I received a video on using the camera and that was extremely helpful.

The best thing about the camera is that you save a lot of $$$ on film, and you see your creative efforts immediately so that you can adjust them before the moment is gone.
