Quality & clarity at a great price

The Bottom Line: Top quality for the price. You could spend $1500 on a pair of Swarovskis, but why? This is a fine product from Nikon and very much worth the price.
I've always trusted the Nikon name, and these binoculars are another reason why.
The construction is very solid, the rubber armor and the RealTree camouflage finish are both top quality, and the focus wheel is precise and easily found and adjusted. The right eye diopter ring is a little stiff out of the box, but loosens up to just the right degree with a little use. The diopter adjustment is very precise, though, and works better than that of many binoculars I have owned. The adjustable eyecups will be great for eyeglass wearers.
The clarity is great in all light conditions. In very low light, they make the view slightly brighter than what is seen with the naked eye, and in daylight, noticeably brighter. These binoculars will serve the user well from first light in the morning to last light in the evening, and also work great when used by flashlight or the headlights of a vehicle at night.
I agree with another reviewer who stated that the included lens caps are not the best. They fall off easily, and the objective lens caps stay in the case instead of coming out with the binoculars. The caps are equipped with slots for attaching them to the included neck strap to prevent loss, which is a plus. The caps serve their purpose of protection for the lenses when the binocs are not in use, though, and that's the main thing.
The included padded black nylon carry case is well-made also, the only negative being it doesn't have a strap on it, just a belt loop. Depending on the user, that may be good or bad, but is a minor detail either way.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with these binoculars, and the Nikon No-Fault Guarantee against damage/drops, and 25-year warranty are great for peace of mind.
