Decent camera

I bought this camera a few months ago because i accidentally broke my Sony $400.00 camera and didn't have enough money to buy a more expensive camera.  I figured that it will do until I can buy a better camera. 

I think the camera is decent.  At first I was unsure about the fact the the camera uses AA batteries becauase every digital camera I have ever owned has had a rechargable battery.  But after takeing my last camera on vacation last summer to Washington D.C., I took so many pictures that the battery dies on me mid day and not one camera store in all of Washington DC had a replacement battery that I could buy, I thought that at least with this camera I wouldn't have that problem because I could easily buy batteries almost anywhere.

One thing I will say positive about the camera is that it is very easy to use.  Anybody can pick up this camera and instantly know how to use it.  Another positive is the screen is big.  Very easy to see what you are trying to take pictures of.  There is no viewfinder, only the screen.  For me that was not an issue since I've not used a viewfinder in years.

The thing that irritates me most about this camera is that it takes a very long time to take a picture.  First, whe you turn the camera on and are about to take your first picture, you have to wait at least 10 to 15 seconds becosre you can.  I don't know why I just know that you cannot take any pictures when you immediatly turn the camera on.  This camera has face recognizer function and it takes several more seconds to get ready to take the picture.  OK, so you have taken your first picture and now you have to wait at least 30 seconds for the camera to be ready to take another picture.  I find that to be so frustrating.  I'm the type of person who loves to take a lot of pictures. So the fact that I have to wait so long in between pictures, is really annoying because I feel like that limits me on the amount of pictures I can take.  Not because of the battery life, but because of the camera itself.

You get what you pay for with this camera.  Pictures come out good, batteries wear out quickly, if you take the flash off pictures are more on the blurry side, takes forever to even take a picture.

I like this camera for now but I can't wait to get a better camera.
