Nevermind by Nirvana (USA)

Pros: It is the first and foremost grunge album (commercially speaking)

Cons: That incomprehensible last track (on CD)

The Bottom Line: A unique kind of music nowadays, typical even if no more current, performed by a great artist that has left no heirs in his genre.

Review: I read that on the 23rd of October it will be a decade since the release of Nevermind, the album which made Nirvana jump to the top of the hit parades of the whole world, scoring over 14 millions of copies sold, gaining immediately an honor place...

Pros: The best album from one of the best bands ever.

Cons: It's hard to think of any...too short maybe?

The Bottom Line: Brilliant. Great guitar riffs and solos, incredible bass lines and extremely powerful drumming all combine to elevate this above anything else Nirvana have done.

Let's get this out of the way...

Pros: great sound, good producing, basically everything

Cons: nothing at all

Review: Having an exceptionally good selling disk can do two things for a artist: Make them famous, and have the band love it, or, in Nirvana's case, make them famous when they didn't want to be. Such is the case for Nevermind, Nirvana's 1991 grunge release...

Pros: All of the songs are great. The music is well done.

Cons: Some what not enough songs.

The Bottom Line: Buy this CD. If you don't, you are denying yourself a great musical experience.

Review: All of the songs on this album are great. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is an awesome song, that really makes you think of the cynical nature of teenagers. "In Bloom," is one of my favorites on the CD because I love the beginning and I love the lyrics...

Pros: Guitars, songwriting, tasty melodies, drumming, bass, production, ages very well.

Cons: "Territorial P*ssings" and "Stay Away" are kind of bad...but that makes them even better.

The Bottom Line: Nevermind is, simply put, one of the essential pieces of any music collection. Its impact never wears thin.
