Mrs Doubtfire is doubtlessly the best

How many comedies can make you laugh and cry at the same time? Sure you laugh so hard you cry, but thats not what Im talking about. Literally crying from a sad moment or some emotional moment in the show. I dont know about you, but rarely can a comedy do that. This is the comedy that allows you to feel all emotions in one.
Robin Williams is the best actor of the present day cinematic age. Not only is he a comic but he also is a serious actor. He spent his early years doing Shakesperean plays. He knows how to act and he does it well.
This movie tells the side of divorce that is always overlooked: the father's side. We always take compassion to the mother and assume the father is a "dead-beat" But this movie proves that the Father is a Loving and Compassionate guy who will do anything to have his children in his life. Even if it means becoming a "woman". The audience is allowed to see the struggles that divorce has on the family, especially on the father and how much Love that father has for his children. Yet the court system overlooks the love and equates it with allocated sums of money every month. This movie can be labeled a Political Comedy. It raises serious moral and social dilemmas.
I just love how Robin portrayes his character: not afraid to show emotion, and yet never fails to lose his love for his mission which is to bring his children back. Sally Field is alright. She wasnt an important role in the movie, casting could have gone to another woman. The children, especially Mara Wilson really get into your hearts without you feeling exposed. The eldest daughter though, is a bit void of expression and doesn't show how much the divorce is affecting her life. Matthew Laurence, the son, does a great job at showing the awkwardness of not having a father around.
What more can I say? If you havent seen this movie go rent it! If you have, see it again!!
