Absolutely Amazing Printer

I was in search of a color laser printer that I could use for home use to print photographs. My wife wanted to be able to print photos of our children to give to relatives and the like. We also occasionally print documents that we use for work, and wanted an all around quality printer for the task. The Magicolor 2350 definitely lived up to the task. I originally purchased the HP 1500L, but after having it home for two days and printing off several photos, I immediately returned it to the store of purchase. I later purchased the Magicolor and it was love at first sight. The print quality of photos, although not quite at the quality of an ink jet, is very comparable and good enough for what I need them for. We have several EXPENSIVE color laser jet printers at work, and unbelievably, my little Magicolor has better print quality than they do.

When dealing with photographs, it seems to take a little longer to warm up from idle to print high quality (high-res) photos. Must be because it sends all that data over a standard CAT5 network cable (although you can use USB or parallel as well). However, once the data is transferred to the printer, it prints out almost as fast as the box says (got 17 ppm black and white and 4 ppm color). Very impressive.

I recently helped a friend print off 1000 brochures for his business, and this little printer blazed through the process without so much as a hiccup. Seemed like it printed in no time.

I personally love the ability to network this printer. I have three computers on a wireless router and the network installation worked flawlessly. The software was very self explanatory and worked on the first try.

I have heard some complaints about the on-printer display, but I personally have had no use for it. I do basic printing, and have found everything I need from within the software on the computer. (if you hook up the computer to a network hub, you can configure and receive stats about the printer simply by typing the IP address of the printer into your web browser...a very neat and easy function).

I'm very excited about this printer. I've been using it for about 4 months and have loved everything about it. It doesn't appear to be overly noisy, and the print quality is EXCELLENT! I certainly recommend this printer to anyone who wants great quality at a reasonable price.

I have owned this printer for quite some time (almost a year)and have done some extensive printing and have to say that it is absolutely fantastic. Picture quality is beautiful and text is crisp and sharp. I recommend this printer whole-heartedly and say it is well worth the money.
