Mixed Feelings

I have some mixed feelings about this keyboard. I purchased it at Best Buy for about $60. The set up is nice and easy to connect. I like the keys and find the keyboard easy to type on. I like the mouse more than any other I have used. It has a smooth scroll wheel and easy to push buttons, plus it is comfortable on the hands and wrists. I am a gamer and had no problems playing World of Warcraft on this equipment.

However, I've had this equipment for over a year now and I'm having problems with the keys not responding. After about 6 months, when I would use the A, D, W, S keys for steering in game, they wouldn't respond anymore. They still work fine when I'm typing documents, but not when I need to press them for long periods of time. I also have problems with the keys not being able to keep up. I type approximately 70 wpm, and I have to slow down so that it can recognize all of my key strokes.

The mouse and keyboard both have a reasonable battery life and the software tells you on screen when your batteries are critically low. The keyboard has an indicator light, but it is so tiny and dull that I don't always notice that either and it doesn't always work, and I wish there was some indication of when the mouse is going dead besides when it stops working.

I like that they automatically turn off, in case I forget, but I wish that they had an on/off switch as well. The keyboard is comfortable for long hours of use, though. My wrists and hands do not hurt whether I periodically rest in my typing or type continually for hours.

All in all, I have enjoyed my keyboard but don't think I'll be purchasing another like it. I think I will stick with the same style, but I might go for another brand next time due to the problems I have with the keys.
