Bad design all around
Pros:

The Bottom Line:
It's got too many design flaws that make it an annoying product to own.

Author's Review
I bought this for my pregnant wife, who wanted to listen to classical music every night before going to bed. She really wanted a simple CD player so she could "just hit play" and go to sleep.
But I bought this instead, thinking the iPod would give us more music variety. Big mistake.
Ok, first of all, the main controls are flush with the device, on the top surface. There are no buttons. Just tiny, raised bumps underneath the skin. You can't really feel the power button, the volume, change track, etc. Since the buttons are flush, and have no texture, you have to *see* them. Ther're not backlist either, so you have to turn on a light in order to see where the buttons are (like if you just want to turn down the volume a little).
Another annoying thing is it doesn't remember your last volume setting. So every time we turn it on (just before going to bed) it's too loud. We have to constantly turn it down to "3 bars" instead of the default "5 bars".
The LCD display is way, way, way too bright. Even on the dim setting. We have to block our display off with a thick book so the light won't keep us up at night. Even pointing it away from us didn't help. It lit up the whole wall.
This thing is so annoying. I don't think their engineers bothered testing this thing in their own homes.
Its only saving grace is the snooze button that lets you tell it to play music for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, or 60 minutes before it puts itself to sleep.
