Mario Party 8- A really cheesy game collection

by  dickcheney6 ,  May 26, 2008
10 out of 10 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Some games are fun, intuitave controls on some games, MARIO!
Cons: A lot of games have bad controls, overly hard, or just plain boring. Annoying clown.
The Bottom Line: This game gets "old" fast. Some games are fun but a lot of them have bad controls. There's also too much "down time" where you're forced to watch garbage.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I bought this game because I heard it was fun, and I knew many people who were fans of the older mario party games and were looking forward to getting this. I bought this because I had some money to "burn" and I saw it in the store. I decided to...

I'm still on the fence I think . . . .

Pros: Fun for short periods of time.
Cons: A little confusing to start with
The Bottom Line: I would not pay the $50.00 it is going for right now.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: This game is definitely perplexing. I am a HUGE fan of the original Mario games and spent countless hours over the years trying to win them all. I should have paid more attention to the game case that clearly states these are minigames, rather than...

A Great Renter

by  udrag14 ,  Jan 8, 2008
13 out of 13 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Fun at a party, new way of playing
Cons: No widescreen, gets old fast
The Bottom Line: It is worth a rent during a party since it has no lasting appeal except for those who love the mario party series
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: The next installment of the Mario Party is now available for the Wii. In this game, the controller has been replaced with realistic actions as well as an increased number of duel games. Here is my comprehensive review of the game.

Pros: good for socializing, Fun small game
Cons: Slow pace

Review: Mario Party 8 is a good game to share with your friends, especially girls. It has lots of fun minigames, and it has got pretty cute characters that girls love them. I played it with a whole bunch of girls, and they like it very much. However, it is...

Guess Who's Back? Back Again...Guess Who's Back, Guess Who's Back?

by  dimeuhday ,  Jun 5, 2007
58 out of 58 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Flawless gaming, fun, replay value is high
Cons: Similar to what we've seen in the past, graphics haven't improved
The Bottom Line: Mario Party 8 is a great game, I'll give it that, but the want for online gaming is high, and Nintendo fails to hear it's fans.

Review: I ve been dreaming about you, drooling over you in every magazine I get my hands on that mentions you. Oh sweet Mario Mario

Review: I am a huge Nintendo fan. Eventhough I am an adult, I still like the kiddie family games. The Mario Party series has always been a fun one because there is a variety of games for every age to enjoy. So naturally, when this game became available, I...

Review: Then do not get this game. This game I recieved as a gift. The game is great, with lots of minigames. And the Wii controls help to add to the fun. However, the games go by too fast and the controls do not respond most of the time. The graphix are...

There's Fun to be Had, and Potential to be Missed

by  genesisone ,  Jan 18, 2009
10 out of 11 people found this review helpful.
Pros: A Decent Amount of Fun Games
Looks and Feels Very Much Like a Mario Party Game
Cons: Motion Sensor Technology Hardly Tapped
Recycled and Bland Board Gameplay
Lack of Strategy
The Bottom Line: Don't expect something new and fresh. It's fun, and in some limited ways, gives you a new way to party, but the series could do so much better.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: I enjoy Mario Party games. I really do. I own all three N64 games, all four GCN games, and now the Wii game. The mini-games are usually hilariously funny and enjoyable to play, and the game boards along with the item system usually bring about a...

Little Kids Stay, Adults Flee

by  playhooky ,  Jan 23, 2009
16 out of 16 people found this review helpful.
Pros: Fun and large variety of mini-games.
Cons: Board game play is basically left to chance.
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't pay money for this game. Too much text to read, long game, no strategy involved. Its just candy.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.
Review: Here's a game little kids seem to love but makes adults suddenly need to go work on their taxes. Probably because its mostly based on chance instead of any strategy like those early childhood games like Sorry! and Trouble.

How The Game...
