Magnavox ZV450MW8 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

I got this at Big Lots for $63.  It was $79.99 but I had a 20% coupon.  I really just wanted something easy to convert VCR tapes to DVD.  I recorded 2 television programs without reading the manual because it was so simple.  

I figure that one of those digital TV boxes will cost at least $40 with one of those from the United States govt.  This unit was a digital makes it more valuable than it was when it was first made.  For a few more dollars, this unit gives you a way of getting TV on a non-digital TV and a way to dub my old VCR tapes to DVD-R.

It is remarkably quiet while it is nothing special in the aesthetics department.  It is not ugly but it wont pretty up for components rack.  It has a good functional and logical layout - which is important to me when I am trying to be quick and record something from television before the program starts or edit out commercials.  There are not alot of useless bells and whistles to get in the way or confuse you. 

The title editing for DVD-Rs is far more simple than the RCA DVD-Recorder that I replaced with this unit.
