Product Review

Worth it for the labeling alone

by   thegreenone503 ,   Mar 28, 2006

Pros:  High quality laser labels, fast and accurate disc creation, low price.

Cons:  Low contrast labels can be hard to view if not created properly.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

Author's Review

I ran out and bought this drive after seeing one commercial on TV. I do a lot of DVD authoring and the stick on labels are cheap and unprofessional and the direct-print DVDs aren't much better. The lightscribe actually creates your picture directly into the top side of special lightscribe CDs and DVDs. The image resolution is great; I've printed small fonts that turned out legible. The drive came with a special Nero that included a simple label program. As for disk burning, it works perfectly. I've not wasted a single disc in the 3 months I've had it.
