Does everything like it says, excellent for the price

I bought this at Sam's Club for $89 I think. I got it because I have too many things and no room. Also, it cuts down on the power cord and usb connections and only have to deal with one driver.

This all in one does an excellent job in everything except driver installation in which I had to manually install by hand and Lexmark customer service wasn't that helpful. When I installed it manually it found a Microsoft driver and the Lexmark driver and asked me which one I wanted to install. I said Lexmark of course. It still didn't work so called customer service. I figured it out on my own while talking to them. You must first install the Microsoft driver then install the Lexmark driver and everything works.

The print quality for both color and black and white is very good for documents. The speed is fast for inkjet of this price.

The photo features is very good because it supports the picbridge which my camera supports so I can print directly from my camera without turning on the computer. I have only printed 4x6 on glossy and printed excellently and I can't tell the difference from my 6 cartridge Cannon. It is very convienient to have all the memory card slots available in the front panel and the driver recognizes the card as soon as I put it in. The color ink cartridge uses up ink quickly printing color pictures. The manual says the photo cartridge #31 will work also so I bought it and it doesn't work and not made for this printer. I am calling Lexmark tomorrow to complain. I found the color cartridge at best buy for $22.

The scanning feature works excellent and fast with good color and resolution. It doesn't do legal size though. My other image software works with this scanner also.

The copier works excellent also with any difficulty copying a few pages with the document feeder. The copies are sharp for inkjet and I would say about laser quality but slower. Maybe not exactly laser but pretty close.

When I hooked it up I had to send and receive fax. I configured the distinctive ring feature and it was easy to set up and worked perfect with excellent receive fax resolution. The distinctive ring feature is part of my phone package that has a separate phone number for the same line so it can be used with a fax when a certain ring pattern is detected.

The size and shape is good with controls easy to get to. I have heavily used this for couple of months now without any problem whatsoever. The main advantage here is like I said, to save space, power cords, usb cords and having to install several drivers.
