Pros:
Stylish, highly adjustable racks and interior. Cleans GREAT!
Cons:
Stainless Steel front shows fingerprints. Doesn't clean plastic as well.
The Bottom Line:
We love our dishwasher and I've already recommended it to my mother. It cleans better and holds more than any other dishwasher we've every owned. Worth the money.

My husband and I were very surprised by the previous reviewer. We've had quite the opposite experience and we LOVE our dishwasher! After a lot of careful research, we chose this model because it seemed to combine the best of European and American-made features. It's well-made and it has the fine quality of European brands. My husband did not like the manual-cleaning filters of the European models, nor did he like the quality or the design of the American models.
American dishwashers use a heating element to dry the dishes. Without a heating element this LG and European models provide more interior space and you can put plastic (and other heat-sensitive items) in either the top or bottom rack. And unlike some of the European models which can leave dishes a little wet after the drying process, this LG features a fan assist.
The flexibility of the machine is awesome. We can put in all our pots and pans as well as our plates and silverware. It's so much bigger than our old machine. The upper rack adjusts a couple of inches and you can fit large platters and pots down below. You can also just run either half of the machine if you have small loads. And it uses only a fraction of the water of our previous GE dishwasher. It's an Energy Star machine and we got a $50 rebate from our local water company.
Our plates and pots and pans come our sparkling - our three previous GE dishwashers never cleaned this well. Our baked-on mess of a meatloaf pan came out clean and shiny. Unlike the previous reviewer, we've never had any problem fitting in any of our silverware, knives, or serving utensils.
The only drawback to this machine is that it doesn't dry and sometimes wash plastic bowls/items well. However, we would never have tried to put these in our old GE dishwasher.
We also have a hardwood floor in our kitchen and have not experienced any steam coming out of our dishwasher on the bottom or left side like the previous reviewer. We've had no problems whatsoever.
This machine is very quiet but not silent. We have an open floor plan and our kitchen is open to our living room. The dishwasher is so quiet that we can easily watch tv and without having to turn up the volume.
