Love this Dryer
Date of Review: Nov 5, 2007
The Bottom Line: Great dryer that gets the job done quickly, quietly, and beautifully.
After raving to my family and friends about the SteamWasher, this dryer was actually given to me as a (very generous) gift! I have not been disappointed. There isn't too much to say except the clothes come out dry and barely wrinkled. The drying cycle is very short. It is also very quiet and can accomodate a huge amount of clothes!
The rack dry is a nice feature for those "lay flat to dry" sweaters. The dryer does not over-dry the clothes, which for the most part I really like because it makes them easier to fold. On occasion if you want something to come out super fluffy (like towels or blankets) it's just a matter of pressing a single button to add more time.
If I had to find something for LG to improve upon, it would be the lint trap. It is a flat screen. It doesn't slide in & out as easily as it could and it has one main section which is very easy to clean, but there are two smaller sections with these tight corners that are a bit hard to get to.
You must follow the installation instructions carefully. The vent must be metal (ours was plastic so we had a whole project to change it out) and have as few bends in it as possible. Also, you must make sure it is level in order to fully enjoy its super-quiet operation.
