Great HDTV for the price!
Pros:
A steal of a price for a TV this good
Cons:
Can lag a bit sometimes
The Bottom Line:
Great deal for a starter HDTV. If money prevents you from going bigger or going 1080p, this is a great alternative!

Author's Review
This HD LCD set is just fantastic. It is very easy to use, has a very clear and easily adjustable picture, good contrast ratio, and even looks pretty sleek when turned off.
In addition to a few standard inputs and outputs, it has two HDMI ports, which is good for multiple devices (most HD devices such as PS3's, DVRs, Cable boxes, etc., use this connection for the best picture). A few more expensive sets have three HDMI inputs, but few TVs in this price range have more than one.
The only negative I have found is that the unit seems to be slow switching between inputs. This may be typical of HDTVs, but the screen will often go blank and flash an error message (such as "Invalid Format") for several seconds before registering the input and displaying the image.
When we started researching HDTV's a friend of mine said, "Buy a Samsung or an LG. No question." He had done a lot of research into the subject and had decidedly concluded that the contrast ratios, price, and lower instance of problems made these the best buys. I then asked the salesperson which HDTV he would recommend. He replied, "I personally have a Samsung and have heard good things about LG." It was enough, with my other research, for me to make the purchase and I have been very happy.
