Author's Review
I surprised myself when I purchased another inkjet printer. I was tired of messing with refilling cartridges and not really being happy with the results and one color or another running out ahead of the others it just seemed like there was always something that wasnt quite right. I remember the day I bought a simple black-and-white laser printer and pitched what I thought would be my last inkjet printer.
I had established a routine of going to our local Sams with my camera and selecting prints to be made in an hour or less. I just made a few at a time 17 cents a print seemed reasonable enough I thought I was satisfied with my chosen arrangement. One Saturday morning I watched the infomercial for this printer. The emphasis was on affordable print cartridges and quality photos. I liked that it didnt have to be connected to my computer to operate. I thought of the times I had taken my business to Sams frittered around the store for an hour waiting for my prints and then to be disappointed because the colors werent quite right. I thought this printer might give me some flexibility my current arrangement lacked. For example, if I didnt like a photo I could go back to my computer and edit it a little and then print it out again and I would never even have to leave home.
I did my usual research on the internet reading what others had to say about this printer and the reviews were pretty favorable. When we went to Sams that weekend, I noticed they had this printer for sale not for the $149 of the infomercial, but for $88. And of course they had the ink cartridges and paper at a good price, too. I didnt buy it that day, but I was seriously considering it.
A week or so later, I did purchase it and set it up. At first, it wouldnt read from my camera using the USB cable, nor from the sD card, nor from my thumb drive. I was really disappointed. I got online to go to the help files and couldnt find a solution. I sent an email describing my problem and got a fairly quick response, but with no solution.
So I decided to go power it up again and try it all over again, and this time, to my surprise, it quickly read my photos from all three sources. I dont know what happened but it works perfectly now. I printed my pictures some on the 5-star paper sample that came with the printer and some on some cheaper generic brand paper I had laying around. Both photos were of equal quality.
All in all I was very impressed, and am glad I made this purchase.
