What a wonderful surprise.

I have been watching out for this printer for the past few months because the idea of saving ink is a big deal and noticed that my local Best Buy had 4 in stock so I ran out and picked one up for my wife. I had been hesitant since there wasn't a single review on the net about it and I was afraid that while the ink was cheap, the printer quality would be lacking.

To my surprise, this printer has lived up to and exceeded my expectations. Installation took 10 minutes and the drivers worked perfectly out of the box (the installation CD did ask if I wanted to go out to the internet to check for the latest drivers before installing). The software install is ~83MB but didn't slow down the system at all (unlike HP and their monster drivers).

The quality of the prints really put every other printer I looked at to shame. (mainly HP, Canon and Epson AIO models). Print quality and color is simply amazing. We printed several pictures out from our honeymoon and wedding and couldn't help but notice a few things. One, my wife’s LCD has poor color. We saw wonderful colors from our prints that didn't even show up on the monitor. The detail and sharpness are incredible. My wife and I couldn't help but notice that the quality was as good if not better than the professional prints sent by our wedding photographer.

The software and hardware designs are all very well thought out. Very simple to use and yet a lot of power and capability with a few mouse clicks. The print speed is extremely fast without compromising any quality. The photo tray is a nice feature as well. No more swapping paper out when you want to print a picture. The scanning was fast and produced nice results.

This printer is going to put everything else on the market to shame.
