My First Food Processor

Just purchased this item two weeks ago and I think it is great! Never required or desired to own a food processor in the past, but my recent interest in Indian cooking has caused me to purchase one. This is also my first KitchenAid appliance.

As with all appliances, gadgets and things, I did my research and had narrowed the field down to either Cuisinart or KitchenAid - based on their reputations and consumer opinions about their products. However, KitchenAid was the one I caught on sale first.

First time use consisted of chopping/mixing onions, garlic, ginger and spices and was very happy with the results. After reading "opinions" of onions turning to "mush" I quartered the onions, and did not have a problem. Everything was chopped uniformly and the spices were well blended. Removing the mixture from the bowl could have been a pain had it not been for the spatula that is the perfect size for this machine.

The sound of the motor does not bother me nor have I had an opportunity to chop nuts or cheese yet.

Clean up is a breeze as well. Did not cut myself on the blades...I remember being told as a young child not to run with scissors, so, I am also very careful when handling knives and other sharp instruments. Personally, the only way I can see cutting yourself is by not watching what you are doing. (When you are handling sharp instruments that needs to be your focus of attention...not the pot or phone or the...)

So far I have enjoyed everything about this little dynamo and have no complaints.
